For several days, Mama Robin kept going back and forth with worms, and we stayed away. Early one morning (still dark), Kim and I woke to the loud, angry chirping of birds. Kim rushed out and almost stepped on one of the baby robins. Apparently Mama Robin had decided it was time for her babies to leave the nest. A cat slunk nearby, stalking the babies, and the adult birds were putting up a fuss to keep it away. Kim scared the cat away, and all was at peace. Later that morning the nest was empty.

An Encouraging Note from a Reader

I have to pass this compliment along to you.  I lent your book to a friend of mine who is an avid reader.  She was barely into the book and said she loved it.  She ordered it for her grandson who is also working on writing a book.  There were two things that he didn't want to use in his book:  profanity and illicit sex.  She was so impressed with your book that she wanted her grandson to see that it could be done.  She also would take any scripture passages that you used and would go read them from the Bible to get the full context of the passage.  Her grandson received the book on Saturday and finished it on Sunday.  He's going to pass it on to people he knows as well.  My friend told me today that she would read anything you wrote.  That is a huge compliment.
